Prevent assets from aging and performance loss through proactive inspections and issue investigations.
Proactive maintenance is the key to ensure the efficiency of your cooling assets. Our inspection and investigative processes aim to provide a comprehensive view.
Investing in regular ACC inspections allows you to identify potential issues. It extends the lifespan of your equipment and minimizes the risk of unexpected failures.
Additionally, prioritizing inspections ensures the safety of employees on site.
Possible inspections
Avoid a drop in performance and prepare for the upcoming summer peak.
Maintain optimal performance by implementing a cleaning with our specialized ACC cleaning technicians. There is no standard for how often a cleaning should be performed, allow SPG to analyze the effectiveness of any cleaning with a performance snapshot before and after cleaning. Determine the ROI and schedule a cleaning tailored to maximizing your output throughout the year.
Air ingress is one of the most prolific reasons for performance degradation, stay ahead of lost performance with our specialized ACC leak detection technicians. Using our specialized techniques specific to Air Cooled Condensers determine the magnitude and locations of leaks within the entire vacuum boundary.
Complex concepts simplified through our years of experience
We understand the complexity of cooling system operation. Particularly in a rapidly evolving power industry. Our experienced Aftermarket team and technical experts have the know-how and insights tailored to your specific needs and challenges. Whether you seek to enhance performance, troubleshoot issues, or plan future upgrades, we support and guide you in each step.
In today’s contentiously evolving power industry, staying ahead of all new technologies is essential.
Challenge The Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) at Valley Energy Center (VEC) initially appeared efficient, but staff found performance-robbing subcooling occurring during the shoulder months, despite using a second vacuum pump to manage air ingress.
Solution VEC and SPG Dry Cooling surveyed the ACC, identified leaks, and took corrective measures. However, subcooling persisted and the DCS logic prevented fans from turning off, worsening the subcooling.
Further investigative work, found that the DCS logic prevented the fans from turning off to counteract the subcooling.
Results This experience highlights the need to investigate all aspects of ACC performance. VEC will implement SPG DC’s ACC360® remote performance monitoring system to maintain and improve ACC efficiency.
We recognize the importance of efficient cooling systems and optimal performance in power generation.
In today’s sustainable market and industry 4.0, an innovative and cutting-edge approach is crucial.
