The primary purpose of this posi@on is to procure materials for specific air-cooled condenser projects. The Logis@c Officer is dedicated to the logis@cs coordina@on. The incumbent is also responsible for expedi@ng purchase orders as needed to meet project requirements including Logis@cs. Addi@onal du@es include working on special projects when assigned. The successful incumbent will have sound knowledge of Infor and can perform work and make decisions independently, with an understanding of how those decisions will poten@ally impact other departments. The successful incumbent has logis@cs knowledge, for example to make sure that the transfer of goods is made efficiently and that goods/services are delivered on @me to client/site. The successful incumbent is a detail-oriented self-starter who is able to priori@ze tasks efficiently while working with and assisting others, with the Dry Americas staff and with global Dry Cooling associates.
Main Duties
- May assist Project Manager/Logistics Manager in solving claims
- Issue the transport RFQ/Purchase order
- Prepare and update the bid tab for the transporters
- Respond to emergencies as required
- prioritize work efficiently
- File up documentation concerning dispatches and associated activities
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm and enforce purchase order compliance
- Contact with client to inform/confirm the deliveries
- Work in team with the purchasers and project managers to perform actions to improve the suppliers’ performances in matter of delivery dates and services.
- As part of a team, both internally with other functions and externally with the customers, participate to derive a cost-effective means of (new) product designs
- Ensure the integrity of import / export documentation such as Bills.
- Timely preparation of import documentation for all air, sea and road shipments requirement.
- Prepare and maintain delivery schedule and communicating to all relevant departments.
- Maintain of system data requirements and always ensure integrity.
- Maintain logistics of records.
- Track shipments across different channels.
- Resolve problems that are related to transportation and logistics systems.
- Develop weekly meeting, tracking reports, outline/schedule for All open orders.
Required Profile
Required Experience
- To increase knowledge of SPG products / services
- To understand the system/programs needed in daily use for the operations
- To organize data collections into understandable patterns
- To provide the accurate and updated shipping plans (with financial)
- To deliver the material as planned
- To participate in Logistics Seminars
- To issue goods receipt within the actual received month / in time
- To increase the knowledge and experiences of the international shipping, HS code, Export-Import documents and Incoterms
- To increase the knowledge for the basic interpretation of technical drawings
