About

Performance
improvements

When calculating your total cost of ownership, you’ll learn that the greater part of the costs arise during the operating phase. These costs are mainly energy costs, but also a significant amount of additional costs come from reduced performance or changed operating conditions. In some cases, you can reduce those costs, increase your net electrical output and gain optimal plant operation, simply by adjusting condenser operation to specific requirements.

About 50% of the fuel energy condenses in the cooling system. The greatest potential for heat rate improvements -in most Rankine cycles- is through achieving and maintaining year-round lowest possible back pressure beyond original design conditions (for example: higher wind speeds).
